A pool with a view

This quarter, there is only one true place to see and be seen: the Leavey pool. Though the concrete slabs that double as bleachers and lounge areas may not provide the same comfort as the silky sands of Santa Cruz, many contend that the inevitable stiff back is well worth it. For upon those glimmering grey giants lies a feast for the public eye. Ladies lounge in breathtakingly bare bikinis and shirtless men glisten in the afternoon sun. It is certainly a sight to behold.

If for some reason you're not interested in the flesh parade that Leavey offers, you can certainly still take advantage of some of the pool's other merits. It can provide a mid-quarter refuge for those who can't bear to tackle the arctic freeze of the library, but who need to get out of their incessantly wild household. It is rumored to be difficult to get any actual work done at this campus hotspot, but a pair of headphones (or perhaps earplugs), some deadlines and a little bit of concentration could help with the ultimate multi-task: a great tan to match your stellar GPA. Not to mention the fact that a dip into the generously heated pool offers a great refresher and the perfect way to re-focus your tired brain.

So, whether your spring quarter goals be finding a date, spying on campus hotties, getting a tan or boosting your grades, the Leavey pool is just the place to fulfill your needs. That is, if you can stand the scrutiny of 100 eyes upon you in the equivalent of your skivvies!
