Badminton Tournament
Grab a friend, and sign up early this week in Benson for the "Rock the Birdie With Clothes" badminton tournament. The entrance fee is two pieces of clothing, and prizes include a $150 wine tasting gift certificate and free Noah's Bagels lunches. All donations will go to the Salvation Army. Engineering Film
Be inspired by the documentary, "A New Tomorrow," which follows two teams of Santa Clara mechanical engineering students on their year-long journey to create new designs for earth-friendly, sustainable products. "A New Tomorrow" captures the complete engineering senior design process, from each team's inception of their ideas, to the bumps and obstacles along the way, to the final realization of the finished product. 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Music and Dance Facility, Recital Hall.

SCCAP is holding its 19th annual Special Olympics benefit auction. Buy your ticket for $8 at the table in Benson. Auction items include a weekend in New York City, a laptop, hotel stays nearby, lift tickets, spa gift certificates, passes to Disneyland and more. 6:30 p.m. California Mission Room.
Prime Times for Primes
Professor Carl Pomerance of Dartmouth will give a general interest talk on prime numbers, describing some strict patterns that they fall into and also some unusual "clumping" that they display. No special background is needed. 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Daly Science 200, room 206.

Reptile Lecture
The Bay Area Amphibian and Reptile Society will host its monthly lecture and meeting in building H at the Cubberly Community Center, 4000 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto, at 8 p.m. Renowned nature photographer Dennis Johnston will give a presentation on the reptiles of Costa Rica. StoryArt Concert
Join Sunwolf's storytelling students at the de Saisset Museum for Santa Clara's fourth StoryArt concert.
