Eyes on the Prize

The Santa Clara Community Action Program is hosting "Eyes on the Prize: The Black Religious and Political Movements for Civil Rights and Reflections on the Movements for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equality." The event features a dinner and an exploration of these issues. An abbreviated screening of the film "Eyes on the Prize," a speech by Kenyon Farrow, the co-editor of "Letters from Young Activists: Today's Rebels Speak Out," and performances by the renowned a capella group Stanford Talisman will take place during the event. 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Benson Center, Williman Room.

Resume Building

The Career Center is sponsoring a workshop that will help students think about their on-campus jobs as a way to develop skills for career opportunities. 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Kennedy Mall, Commons at Kennedy Mall.

Professor Jean Pedersen will give a general interest talk on "My Favorite Mathematical Toys," discussing polyhedra and showing some remarkable moveable models that present interesting questions.
