The San Jose Jewish Film Festival presents "Keep Not Silent" at the historic Hoover Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Israeli director/producer Ilil Alexander will be present to speak with the audience after the film. Rabbi Melanie Aron of Congregation Shir Hadash will moderate the discussion.

"Keep Not Silent," winner of the 2004 Israeli equivalent of the Oscar for best documentary, presents the story of the challenges faced by religious women in Israel who are both Orthodox and Lesbian.

This special screening and appearance of the film maker is made possible through the support and major sponsorship of the Consulate General of Israel, Northwest Region. The evening is also being sponsored by the Billy De Frank Center of San Jose.
