Daily services during Lent

Mass will be celebrated at 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday throughout the season of Lent in the Mission Church. Masses will not be held from March 19 to March 23.

Lent is the 40 days of prayer and spiritual observance in Catholicism leading up to Easter, which falls on April 8 this year.

Volunteers needed for festival

The Sally Ride Science Festival, Sunday, April 1, needs volunteers to help on campus with events for over 1,000 fifth - eighth grade students.

Volunteers will receive lunch and the opportunity to attend the keynote address by astronaut Tammy Jernigan. Jernigan has completed five shuttle missions since 1986. Her most recent mission was aboard the shuttle Discovery in 1999 for the first docking with the International Space Station, during which time she had a seven hour, 55 minute space walk.

Interested students should contact Dan Lewis, chair of the computer engineering department, at dlewis@scu.edu.
