Parents invade campus
The average age on campus will increase as Parents Weekend kicks off tomorrow.
Registration starts at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a series of lectures throughout campus that parents can attend. Parents Weekend continues until Saturday night.
The events on Saturday will be broken up to address class-specific issues students face at Santa Clara. Session topics include planning for study abroad, internships and preparing for graduation.
Other events throughout the weekend include a tour of the de Saisset Musuem, a Question and Answer with University President Michael Engh, S.J. and a mass.
There will also be a Senior Parent Dinner Dance and Reception. The reception is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. and a Candlelight Dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m., which includes dancing and the music of the Groove Doctors. Advanced reservations are required and all seating is reserved.
The event will come to a close with the men's basketball game against WCC rival University of San Francisco.

ROTC wins MacArthur Award
The Reserve Officers' Training Corps "Bronco Battalion" won the prestigious MacArthur Award on Feb. 2, which is granted to the year's most excellent ROTC from the 33 batallions from the West Coast 8th Brigade.
Factoring into the decision is the ROTC's physical fitness, navigation skills and leadership.
