Traditional 10 p.m. Sunday mass changed
Relying on a survey conducted using over 400 people, Campus Ministry has decided to move the late night Sunday mass to an earlier time.
In his campus-wide e-mail, Director of Campus Ministry Jack Treacy, S.J., said changing the time from 10 p.m. to 9 p.m. is a way to make the liturgy more inviting to those who live off-campus and find returning home after 11 p.m. difficult.
Treacy also said he hoped more people would be able to enjoy the Campus Ministry's "hospitality," a reception with refreshments, after the 10 p.m. liturgy.
An earlier time also will allow those who set up the church for the liturgies to finish working sooner. Additionally, the 7 p.m. mass has been moved to 6 p.m. to allow for an earlier rehearsal time for the last liturgy.
Preview Weekend to kick off Saturday
This weekend individuals who have been admitted to the Santa Clara undergraduate program will be attending on-campus sessions where they can meet with faculty and students to ask questions. The events will commence in Mayer Theatre at 8:45 a.m. Due to the Preview Weekend, Malley Fitness Center basketball courts will not be available.
