Student arrested in connection with sexual assault
A 21-year-old Santa Clara student was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault earlier this month, police reports stated.
The man was arrested in the 900 block of Bellomy Street about 10 p.m. Feb. 5, reports stated. Police would not release any further information, saying the incident is still under investigation.
University officials turned the investigation over to Santa Clara police after a student told the university that he or she was assaulted off campus, Campus Safety reports stated.
The Santa Clara is not releasing the suspect's name because charges were not filed by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office this week.
