Graduate programs honored in publication

Santa Clara law and MBA programs were honored in recent rankings of graduate programs nationwide, published by U.S. News and World Report.

Leavey School of Business's part-time MBA program was ranked No. 12 among all part-time MBA programs in the country. Also, the business school's Executive MBA program was ranked No. 21 nationally.

Santa Clara law was ranked at No. 87 nationwide. The law school's intellectual property program was also recognized as being among the top five in the country.

New dean of School of Education announced

Effective Jul. 17, Lester F. Goodchild will take over as Dean of the School of Education, Counseling Psychology and Pastoral Ministries, University President Paul Locatelli, S.J., announced Tuesday.

Goodchild has a doctorate in higher education from the University of Chicago, as well as a masters in religious studies from Indiana University and a master of divinity from Meinrad School of Theology.

Currently, Goodchild serves as the dean of the Graduate College of Education at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
