Toy Drive at local Bronco basketball game
The Sunday Friends Foundation will be holding a toy drive at an upcoming Santa Clara vs. San Jose State men's basketball game.
Fans are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to the game, which takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 8 p.m. at the San Jose Events Center.
The foundation was established in 1997, and seeks to "empower very low income families by creating a supportive environment where they can practice positive life skills through everyday activities such as writing, food preparation, math, and art projects," according to Associate Director Michael Hobson.
Hobson also said that "hundreds" of Santa Clara students have volunteered with the foundation through Arrupe placements.

Locatelli has been university president since 1988.
Slow internet access due to spyware, viruses IT says
The recent slow internet access has been due to increased spyware and viruses on network computers, IT says.
In particular, applications such as "peer-2-peer downloading, VoIP, gaming, and instant messaging may be affected more noticeably during these periods of time," Manager of Networking and Telecommunications for IT, Todd Schmitzer, said in an e-mail sent out on Wednesday.
All computers connected to the university network are required to have the latest anti-virus software installed.
A free copy of Sophos Anti-Virus software is available for students, staff and faculty to download at http://it.scu.edu/download.
