Campus Safety Pick of the Week: 1/20/2011

By Katherine Tolentino

This week the Campus Safety Report included just one alcohol-related medical emergency. We'd like to take it as a good sign, that all SCU students are either drinking responsibly, or not at all... but we're aware of the reality that, commonly, students are afraid to report alcohol-related medical emergencies for fear of getting in trouble.

This is just a friendly reminder about two policies, Medical Amnesty and the Good Samaritan Policy, that are in place to protect you by reducing judicial consequences for students who need medical attention. Read more about them here, and use our handy-dandy flowchart to see how to qualify for Medical Amnesty.
