Candidates for ASG president and vice president unopposed
By Staff reports
Even though Associated Student Government elections aren't until next Tuesday, students already know who the ASG president and vice president are going to be.
Juniors Courtney Seymour and Lindsay Gray were the only ticket to run for the president and vice president this year,
Their platform is based on the "3 S's for Success;" safety, social spirit and sustainability. According to the ASG website, this means that Seymour and Gray will focus on Campus Safety, the Locatelli Student Center and Student Committees as well as bringing about paperless mail and a ban on plastic water bottles.
Students will be able to vote, however, for the different senate positions for each class as well as the senate chair position. The candidates for senate chair are Sachit Egan and Kanishk Desai. Egan's platform relies on accountability, discipline and ambition. Desai is running on a platform driven by results and previous experience.
Students can vote on eCampus next Tuesday for senate positions.
