Film Screening: The Bronze Screen: 100 Years of the Latino Image in Hollywood

This on-going screening presents one hundred years of Latinos in Hollywood and ties in with the de Saisset Museum's premiere exhibit "Americanos: Latin Life in the United States." Accomplished singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright will be performing on two consecutive nights at the Fillmore â€" Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6. Tempura Anime: Anime Overdose: Inside Japanese Video Games

Come spice up your life this Friday and listen to a lecture by two insiders of the Japanese video game industry, Mr. Saki Nimiya and Mr. Hirofumi Murasaki. Their lecture will focus on the "behind the scenes" aspects of video game development subculture. Mr. Nimiya is well known for his audio work on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and his role in the production of the Sega Dreamcast, and Mr. Murasaki currently works for Sega Japan. This event will be held in the Daly Science 207 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and you must register prior to the lecture in order to attend. Winter Orchestra Concert

Mason Jennings, son of legendary country music performer Waylon Jennings, will be at the Great American Music Hall on two consecutive nights â€" Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7. On Saturday, the show will start at 9 p.m. and the openers will be Alexi Murdoch and the Beautiful Girls. Sunday's show will start at 8 p.m. and only Alexi Murdoch will open.
