Ethics Outlook

An annual briefing of the most important ethical choices facing the nation, the Ethics Outlook presents an agenda of six critical ethical issues. ̢۬This year's panel includes: Jerry Ceppos, vice president for news, Knight Ridder; member, Center Advisory Board; A.C. "Mike" Markkula Jr., co-founder, Apple Computer; Chair, University Board of Trustees; Judy Nadler, Center Senior Fellow; former mayor, city of Santa Clara; William Sundstrom, Associate Professor, Santa Clara department of economics, Center Scholar; and Kirk O. Sing Out, Louise!

Santa Clara Theatre Alumna Jeanne Smith presents an evening of old standards and unforgettable songs from Broadway musicals with a cabaret flair! Ms. Smith has a wealth of experience in musical theatre, including an appearance in the Broadway show Les Miserables. 17th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert

Planet Lulu â€" Los Angeles' Largest Clothing Sample Sale

Ready, set, shop! Planet Lulu, the trendy Los Angeles based sample sale is headed back to San Francisco. Shoppers will delight in a selection from over 60 of Los Angeles and New York's most exclusive designers packed in one room. Featured handbags will include Gucci, Prada, and Chanel. The philosophical concept of "character" has become increasingly important due to the turn to virtue ethics in both philosophy and theology. The concept points to the reality of an ongoing, consistent personal identity. The concept of character has also been challenged. Do we have such an ongoing, personal identity?
