Ethics center offers new blog to discuss big questions
By Staff reports
"The Big Q" is a new project by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara featuring a blog, $500 video contest, and weekly polls creating a place for college students to discuss the big questions in their own lives.
The blog provides a forum for college students to both share and address the ethical dilemmas they run into including cheating, substance use, and deciding how to define relationships.
Initially, "The Big Q" originated from collected case studies and responses from students, professors, and parents intended to be formatted into a publication. Instead, the ethics center decided upon a social media centered approach to make the project more accessible to current college students.
The blog can be found on the university website, or students can find more information through "The Big Q" Facebook page.
