Feet for Families Run/Walk

As temperatures soar this weekend during San Jose's Indian summer, Santa Clara students and families throughout the Bay Area are slipping into their sneakers and heading outside to participate in Aspiranet's Feet for Families fundraiser.

The event is a run/walk where participants can choose between attempting a 2.5K, 5K or 1 mile course. With only a $15 to $25 registration fee the race is an affordable way for students to give back to the community and enjoy their Saturday morning, as well as receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Aspiranet is an not-for-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco, but has branches reaching all over the Bay Area.Their main services include providing after-school options for children, working with foster care families and children, facilitating adoption and providing mental health services to the community.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 2, starting at the Almaden Lake Park Arroyo Picnic Area in San Jose at 9:00 am.Visit http://www.aspiranet.org/feetforfamilies/sanjose.aspx for more information and to find out how to sign up or where to go to donate for this cause.
