Heavy rain doesn't dampen fall fun

Dropping record-breaking amounts of rain throughout the Bay Area, a storm Tuesday forced many students to take shelter under raised umbrellas and sweatshirt hoods (below). Other students greeted the first major storm of the season with smiles and puddle-jumping feet like one group of students from Swig Hall (above). On campus, the storm broke tree branches, but in other parts of the area, the storm downed power, caused plane delays and traffic jams.
