Solutions, not rhetoric needed

The question on my mind Monday afternoon was not "where would we be without immigrants," but "what do you people propose we do about our nation's border crisis?"

Even with the support of academic heavy hitters like Dr. Curry, Fr. Locatelli and The Santa Clara opinion section, I still do not see solutions being proposed by the activist crowd. Anyone who thinks our current system works is only slightly more respectable than people who advocate an open, "let everyone just run on across," border.

Just as Darfur needs NATO protection, illegal immigration needs a real solution from the activist crowd. Boiling the issue down to "where would we be without immigrants?" trivializes the issue and turns off solution-based lefties, like me.
