More summmer renovations finished

Although the business school and library construction remain the most visible projects on campus, numerous smaller renovations and projects were completed over the summer, according to Joe Sugg, assistant vice president of university operations.
The renovations include an overhaul of Campisi Residence Hall. Air conditioning was installed, as were new bathrooms, carpeting and wiring.
"It's nice to walk on a carpet with bare feet throughout the whole building, and the countertops are nice. It feels like home," said sophomore Julie Arcaro, a returning Campisi resident.
The west side patio wall was removed from Benson Memorial Center, and the area now has open-air terrace seating to make it "more people-friendly," said Sugg.
Landscaping behind de Saisset Museum has been redone, and two new faculty rooms and research laboratories in the Daly Science building have been completed. Mayer Theater received a new stage lift, and 25 new interior recycling locations have been installed throughout campus.
Currently, University Operations is installing a new air conditioning system in the Kennedy Commons, which is expected to be ready for use next summer. Sugg also said that approximately 75 smaller projects, including repaving and updating Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations, have been completed since the end of last school year.
