RHA enjoys success of Casino Night
Ask any one of the 300 people in attendance of Casino Night, they can tell you what a huge success it was. Really though, how could Casino Night not have been a success? First you had an awesome group of representatives from every building who basically slaved away to ensure everyone had a good time. Resident assistants moonlighted as dealers and resident directors endured public humiliation by allowing their residents to dress them up. (By the way Richie, can I borrow that dress some time?) These people were lead by Adrienne Curtis who deserves praise for holding all this together.
In between black jack, craps, roulette, slot machines and a poker table, there were refreshments provided by Aramark, including some phenomenal peanut butter cookies. We had a dance floor and a great DJ. We had prizes like a DVD player, a VCR, Nintendo 64, CDs and more. To top off the event, it was completely free, provided to you by the Residence Hall Association.
It just goes to show that on-campus events donÃt deserve the stigma. An on-campus event will never be shut down by the cops, will never have to turn its music down and will never run out of vital supplies to make a party run well. So, donÃt let another on-campus event pass by. ItÃs better to have been there than to hear about it the next day.
