Selak victor, 13 spots unopposed

President-elect Annie Selak won Wednesday's election by 10 percentage points above her opponent, promising to lead the undergraduate student body with "unity" in the upcoming year.
Virtually every other class senator and the senate chair ran unopposed â€" 13 spots total â€" except for one sophomore class senator.
Selak won 55 percent of the 686 votes cast, running with Sophomore Amy Chan. The other ticket, under Andrea Barrack and Andy Benton, received 44 percent of the votes cast.
"I feel honored to be chosen as the voice of the students," Selak said Wednesday evening.
Michael Rhoads, Jasper Seldin, Andy Western and Aroba Hafeez were among the winners for junior class senator. Toriana Holmes was elected the junior class president.
Among winners for sophomore class senators include Jenny Moody, Kristen Stokes, Victoria Soto, Patrick Amos and Michael Amato.
Kristin Harvey was elected the sophomore class president at 159 votes, while Kirsten Cornell won the vice presidency at 154 votes.
Becky Regan, the incoming senate chair, won 606 out of 690 votes cast.
