The women's tennis team continued its recent run of good play last Friday, defeating the University of San Francisco Dons 7-0. The win improved the Broncos' record to 5-3 on the season.

Every Bronco who set foot on the Santa Clara University Tennis Center courts won. In singles action seniors Sarah Duncan and Jodie Curran, sophomore Nicole McCord and freshmen Mariko Kawakami, Christine Limbers and Pati Ruiz were all winners. The doubles teams of Duncan-McCord, Kawakami-Limbers and Ruiz-freshman Ashley Campbell won as well. The men's tennis team wasn't as fortunate. While the women were delivering a shutout to their opponent, the men were on the receiving end of one, losing 7-0 to unbeaten and sixth-ranked Pepperdine in Malibu.

No Bronco even won a set against the Waves, who improved to 9-0 on the season. The Broncos' record fell to 2-4.

The women will be in action next on Saturday when they host Loyola Marymount. The men will travel to Fresno to take on the Bulldogs of Fresno State on Saturday.
