For plus-size women, American Apparel offers new sizes...with a side of contempt.
Ratemyprofessors.com: Take the reviews with a grain of salt
I'm not saying that you shouldn't use the website as a resource, I am just urging you to consider your sources and not fill your head with a biased perspective of a teacher before ever setting foot in their classroom.
Valedictorian's advice
It is bittersweet to reflect because Santa Clara has been my home for these past 4 years, but I know it has prepared me for whatever comes my way in the future.
Learning to embrace uniqueness
All of high school was essentially an exercise in how to fit in. No matter the situation, it was almost always better to blend in. Luckily, college is not high school and difference is more likely to be accepted and celebrated.
Searching for the GOP candidate
Judging by their recent performance at the first GOP debate, the race to the Republican Presidential nomination is less a footrace and more a confused and terrified scramble for the exits.
Multitasking: sacrificing quality
In this digital age, it has become much easier to multitask. The Internet and its social media mechanisms allow for easy access to everything — articles that could be relevant to a paper, recipes for dinner, a funny picture of a cat — and they allow for it all at once. Wanted: CSO Leaders
The lack of participation or interest doesn't stop at ASG. Santa Clara's four media CSO's – The Santa Clara, The Redwood, KSCU and The Review – had a combined six applicants for the four editor/general manager positions. In other words, many of the most prestigious on campus student jobs, including those in ASG, were literally handed out to those dedicated enough just to submit the application.
An Israeli response: people first
The Arab Spring of 2011 has been marked by popular movements ranging from protests to revolutions, and has shown us a possible new horizon for the Middle East. What separates this year's historical events frompast conflicts in the Middle East is that Arabs—not to mention
Persians—are turning not against Americans, Israelis, and other Westerners, but against institutions that have defined Middle Eastern politics for decades.
