Women’s Soccer — Oct. 22: Santa Clara 1, Gonzaga 1 

After falling behind 1-0 early on, the Broncos leveled the score in the 74th minute when Mailin Orozco ’28 had a corner kick deflected into the back of Gonzaga’s net. Santa Clara was on the offensive all night, outshooting Gonzaga 18-9 and taking seven corners compared to Gonzaga’s one.

Next Up: vs. San Francisco on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1 p.m. 

Men’s Soccer — Oct. 19: San Francisco 2, Santa Clara 0 

Deadlocked at 0-0 for 81 minutes, Santa Clara conceded goals twice in five minutes as San Francisco took five shots on goal in the final 15 minutes of the match. Goalkeeper Jackson Ozburn ’26 had three vital second-half saves, but they weren’t enough to stop San Francisco’s valiant second-half attack.

Next Up: vs. Portland on Saturday, Oct. 25, 7 p.m. 

Women’s Volleyball — Oct. 18: Santa Clara 3, Pacific 0  

The Broncos were able to overcome a late scare in the first set and went on to dominate Pacific the rest of the way. Cate Shanahan ’29 led the team with 13 kills and Layla Truitt ’27 added another 11 in the Bronco sweep.

Next Up: vs. Gonzaga on Thursday, Oct. 23, 6 p.m. 

Men’s Water Polo — Oct. 18: San Jose State 11, Santa Clara 8

Santa Clara nearly came storming back against a sixth-ranked San Jose State team, cutting the deficit to 9-7 in the fourth quarter. The Spartans were able to hold the Bronco surge, however, despite two goals apiece from Ashton Brown ’29, Riccardo De Simon ’29 and Imme van der Schaaf ’29.

Women’s Tennis — Oct. 10-12: ITA Regional Championships

Santa Clara won five matches during the weekend, including one consolation doubles match win and four singles extra matches. Ashley Katz ’29 delivered two of the singles wins, one Saturday and one Sunday. Anna Rahman ’28 won a singles match of her own and partnered with Jamie Pope ’26 to take down Portland in a doubles consultation match.

Men’s Tennis — Oct. 16-19: ITA Regional Championships

The Broncos’ run in the ITA Regionals ended Sunday, with Luca Bluett ’27 and Alexander Watanabe Eriksson ’26 advancing to the quarterfinals but falling in their respective singles matches. 

Next Tournament: Pacific Hidden Dual, Stockton, Calif., From Friday, Oct. 3- Sunday, Nov. 2

Women’s Golf —  Oct. 20-22: Rainbow Wahine Invitational

Santa Clara finished tied for runner-up in the invitational with a 54-hole total of 4-under 860, the second-lowest score in program history. Kelsey Kim ’27 led the way, finishing the event tied for third, shooting 5-under 211.  

Men’s Golf — Oct. 20-22: Saint Mary’s Invitational in Monterey, CA

The Broncos took home third place at the Bayonet Golf Course, recording a score of 2-under 862. Calder Overfelt ’26 finished the invitational in third place, recording a total score of 4-under 212.
