Broncos Take on the Waves
Santa Clara University’s Surf Club hosted its second beginner surf session on Saturday Oct. 18, 2025.
Surf boards and wetsuits were provided for all of the participants, and the executive team drove beginners to Private’s Beach at Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz where they got a quick lesson on how to surf before getting in the water.
Surf Club executive board members swam out with the new surfers and pushed them into waves.
Their first session targeted towards beginners was held last spring quarter and sold out in less than a second. The increased interest has made them eager to hold more sessions.
Interested students filled out a form posted on the club’s Instagram Story and GroupMe chat to sign up.
