Pivirotto triumphs over accident
There was one student especially excited to start this school year - not because he was a freshman or had traveled abroad over the summer, but because few people expected him to return to Santa Clara as soon as he did. Junior Braden Pivirotto was critically injured last December after falling asleep behind the wheel of his jeep while returning from a snowboarding trip to Tahoe.

Differences can show underlying similarities
I'm sure that everyone has had an experience during the first visit to a friend's house when you notice something that contrasts dramatically from your own family. Maybe, it is the 20 pairs of shoes in a pile by the front door, the smell of the house when you first walk in, the type of food that is served for dinner or perhaps even the affection shown between the parents. We've all had these experiences at some point, and noticed these sometimes not-so-subtle differences.

Vitamin supplements fooling consumers
When I lived in the dorms, I caught colds all the time. I was always amazed that every time I got sick, people would stress that I should take a ton of vitamin C or some other sort of alternative cold remedy. The most popular of these supposed cold fighters was always Airborne, a tablet that dissolves in water to create a fizzy orange cocktail of vitamins and chemicals that allegedly help boost your immune system to fight off a cold.

Visit to Morocco creates new perspective
RABAT, Morocco -- It's not everyday that you see a 6-foot-7-inch American like me wandering the streets of a crowded marketplace of an Islamic country, trying to greet people with the standard "Al salaam a'alaykum," and failing miserably every time.
'Bare it all' trend of Halloween
Honestly, I'm surprised that "Girls Gone Wild: Halloween Edition" hasn't been released.
